Fine Art Photography
Our world is exquisitely glorious! And notwithstanding the abuse of it by some of its tenants, the resplendent beauty of the tangible earth certainly outweighs any ugliness.
Nature and landscape photography, both above the oceans and in them, is a very effective means to enhance in others a greater awareness of, and a keen appreciation for, the soul-enriching beauty of our earthly abode. The process of finding an image in nature and sharing our vision of it artistically with others requires many thoughtful and subjective steps. This is what we do, but the true landscape artist is He who created it. With our cameras we can record only a "jot and a tittle" of the creative work of the greatest Artist.
This is why we humbly state that we are simply: Documenting the Art of God Through Photography. The satisfaction that we experience from successfully documenting and sharing nature's transcendent beauty with others is joyfully rewarding.
An effective approach to fine art photography is for the image-maker to focus on a clear-cut vision (often the result of pre-visualization) and then implement those techniques that best express his or her own highest passions. Leo Nikolayevich Tolstoy expressed it this way: "Art is a human activity having for its purpose the transmission to others of the highest and best feelings to which men have risen."
All of our senses can be pleasantly stimulated, for example: listening to good music or hearing a baby giggle; smelling a rose; tasting chocolate; and softly rubbing fine finished wood furniture with our fingertips all come to mind. Estimates are that 30-50% of the human brain is used for visual processing. Additionally, researchers have stated that of all the stimuli that reach the human brain, more than 90 percent is visual. Therefore, an opportunity to kindle an empathetic response to one's own appreciation of the art in nature may be accomplished through fine art photography. We hope that you will find it here.
